COMBUDO Fight Sports was created in 2000 by martial arts expert and personal security consultant Sensei Lee Hasdell (6th Dan) after his studying, teaching, martial arts, close protection and self defence took him worldwide to countries like the Japan, Russia and the USA for over 25 years and was the first British black belt in the Japanese art of Kudo Daido-Juku.

Lee completed his 'Uchi-Deshi' (live-in student) at the Maeda Dojo Japan in 1996 where he was taught the secrets of the now famous 'Catch Wrestling (CACC) and Submission Fighting' under the direct lineage of Maeda and TK Kosaka etc, he then spent 6 years fighting on the Rings Fighting Network in Japan where he earned the name of 'Kagemusha' or Shadow Warrior by the fans. Lee often refers to his teaching methods as 'Fighting from the Shadow', this reflects his attitude to shunning the limelight and fame often associated with professional fighting, and his ability to fight  all types of opponents at any notice, place and time.

Lee now divides his time between working as a martial arts consultant to various organisations and promotions worldwide and is an official ISKA referee and judge. He also works as a SIA Close Protection Operative in London and runs the SSJ Dojo (Shin Sen Jutsu Study Group) which teaches the arts of Japanese Kickboxing, Submission Fighting and Self Defence.
