The COMBUDO organisation was founded by martial arts pioneer and innovator Lee Hasdell in 2000 the year of the new millenium, after returning from his long professional martial arts career in Japan. Whilst in Japan Lee studied the Art of Japanese Submission Shootfighting, MMA and Kickboxing.

After spending 6 years under the tuition of Fighting Network RINGS in Japan where was taught directly by Akira Maeda and TK Kohsaka in the art of Japanese Catch, Shootwrestling, Jiujitsu and Submission Fighting, Lee introduced Japanese MMA to the UK.

In 2007 Lee earnt his black-belt in the Japanese MMA method of Kudo.

Lee started meditating at the age of 13 after watching his mother practising Yoga for many years, but as he grew older he became fascinated with the martial arts as a way to develop himself and make himself stronger. After many years experimenting with pyscho-physical exercises within the world of professional martial arts competition and his hobby of freediving, he is now able to help others who would like to develop gain greater strength in mind, body and fighting spirit.
