Combat Kickboxing Rules:

Format:

The Combat Kickboxing matches are either in tournaments or single match style.

3 x 1.5 minutes rounds
Full Tatami Area of Combat
Controlled Contact Rules
Clicker score system

Ways to Win:

1 Point for Punch
2 Points for Kick & Knee
All scoring strikes MUST be clean contact and connect with the appropriate technique within the correct target areas. Poor techniques will not be scored.
TKO via body or legs.
*Please note that there is NO KO via head shots (only points)
Excessive contact to the head will result in:
Verbal Warning
Points Deduction (10 points)
Disqualification

16oz Gloves
Shin & Insteps
Forearm Pads
Knee Pads
Mouth Guard
Groin Guard
Chest Guard (women only)
Body Armour (children only)

Techniques:

All normal Boxing
All normal Kicks (outside of legs only)
All normal Knees

Fouls: 

No Clinching
No Elbows
No Throwing
No Take Downs
No Sweeps
No Forearms Strikes
No Joint Strikes
No Leg Catches

Divisions: 

Mens Kg: -60 -65 -70 -75 -80 -85 -90 -95 Open

Women's Kg: -50 -55 -60 -65 -70 -75 Open

Seniors Division = 40 years and above  

Juniors Division = 16 years and below 

 

*Combat Kickboxing is a contact sport so by definition it is classified as an 'Ultra-hazardous' activity, so it is the at the competitors risk when entering any of the Combudo Combat Kickboxing or any other format.
