Shin Sen Jutsu

 

Shin-Sen-Jutsu is a unique fusion of traditional and modern, physical and meta-physical methods and practices from the martial arts, meditation and shugendo. This is only a basic outline of this fascinating martial art.

 

The techniques are based on the 'Fluid Wave' body and mind movement that use's perpetual motion. These exercises and techniques are taught from the first lesson in every warm up and are the foundation of Shin-Sen-Jutsu.

Outdoor training is strongly encouraged.

There are 3 main and 2* optional components of Shin Sen Jutsu practice:

1. Mokuso (meditation)

2. Taiso (fluid wave exercise)

3. Kihon (basic martial arts techniques)

4. Kumite (optional sparring and competition)*

5. Misogi (optional spiritual endurance training)*

All of the above one aimed at forging the mind, body and spirit into one.

 

Shin Sen Jutsu has 3 main ranges:

1. Standing (Tachi-waza).

2. Takedowns/Throws (Nage-waza).

3. Groundwork (Ne-waza).

 

Competition:

Shin Sen Jutsu students reach a state of 'Flow' from 4 states of Mind:

1. Sho-Shin (beginners mind).

2. Mu-Shin (no mind).

3. Fudo-Shin (unshakable mind)

4. Zan-Shin (aware mind).
